In rural Indonesia, millions of children and families are quietly being left behind because they lack access to books and a culture of reading.
Panaluan exists to change that. We build community-based literacy ecosystems through book donations, library adoption, sustained funding, and volunteer engagement so that reading becomes a daily reality, not a distant privilege.

The limited access to books and a lack of reading culture have created a quiet but serious crisis. Children and adults are being left behind, unable to fully develop the skills they need to learn, work, and participate in society. This reading habit gap is not just an educational issue; it is a barrier to long-term community wellbeing and economic opportunity.
Panaluan was founded in August 2025 to address this challenge by making literacy a living, everyday part of community life. We believe that when people read, they unlock new knowledge, confidence, and possibilities for their future.
